Before Eidomai had a name it had a July. In that month the measurement read 398 factual claims that eight AI engines made about eighteen measured businesses, one branded answer at a time, and judged each one against a fact sheet the business had confirmed. Forty-eight came back flatly wrong.
Not wrong in tone. Wrong in fact. A flat-fee real estate brokerage described to a buyer as a school bus technology platform. A childcare center described to parents as a hospital's donation program. A hospice given a phone number that belongs to somebody else. Twenty-nine of the 48 are quoted word for word, with names removed, in the wrong-answers library. It is free and it asks for nothing.
Why this is the first note
The category Eidomai works in has about twenty tools that count mentions and score their mood. None of them ask whether the answer was true. That question turned out to be the one a twenty-year agency operator on our July review call had never thought about, and it is the one that costs a customer who never calls to check. So it is the first thing on this site, ahead of the case studies and ahead of the process.
What the number is not
It is not a national error rate. Eighteen businesses is eighteen businesses. It is a trend indicator from a specific measured book, judged against verified facts, and the line under every number on this site applies to this one: API responses approximate but do not exactly match consumer app answers; we report these numbers as trend and share of voice comparisons, never as absolute truth.
What this note will look like from October
Once a month, one finding, one movement, one link. The movement comes from Eidomai's own measurement of its category questions, run on the same panel and the same engines as every client, published as a ledger like this one.
