What to do
Step by step.
- Ship the page and mark it shipped on its brief.
- Under the brief's re-measure section, read the count: n credits left this month, monthly plus purchased. Press Re-measure now.
- The brief shows Re-measure queued with the date. Results post to the same place, usually within a day.
- Read the table when it lands: per question and per engine, month versus now, with gained or lost marked. It is an early read at confirmation depth; the next monthly run is the trend of record.
What happens next. The re-measure result sits on the brief; the monthly run on the 2nd grades the same page for the record, and the Overview shows the shipped page beside the trend.
The monthly run is the trend of record, and a month is a long time to wait to find out whether a page did anything. On Done for you, a re-measure is the early read: the page's questions asked again today, five times per engine, with gained and lost marked per cell.
It spends a credit because the asks cost money, and it is deliberately labelled an early read. The next monthly run grades the same page for the record, so a re-measure never changes the trend; it tells you whether to keep going.
How to read it
What the screen is telling you.
- A re-measure asks this page's questions again today on all eight engines, five times each. It answers one question: did the page move anything yet? It does not replace the monthly run and it does not change the trend.
- Credits reset monthly. Purchased credits carry until used. With no credits left, the monthly run grades the page on the 2nd either way.
- On The map and The map with review there are no credits; the next monthly run grades the page. The section on the brief says so.
Questions
People ask.
- Why five asks instead of eight?
- Five is confirmation depth: enough to tell a real move from a lucky ask, without the full monthly weight. The monthly run asks up to eight and re-asks any cell that split until it is at least five deep.
- The re-measure says lost. Did the page make it worse?
- Probably not; it says the engine did not name you today, which may be where it was before the page too. Compare the month column beside it. A page that was live for a day rarely moves an engine either way; the monthly run is the honest read.
- Can I buy more credits?
