What to do
Step by step.
- Partner home, the client's account row, Client contacts.
- Enter the client's name and email. Press Send client view link. Each contact gets their own link.
- The client opens overview and battle map. Nothing is clickable, and the help panel speaks to them as a client: anything they want changed, they ask you.
- To stop a link, open Client contacts and press Revoke on that contact. Other contacts keep theirs.
A client view link is the two screens that need no explanation: the overview and the battle map. Nothing to click, nothing to break, and anything the client wants changed comes back to you.
Send it per contact from the client's row on the partner home. Revoke it per contact from the same place.
How to read it
What the screen is telling you.
- The client view never shows pricing, briefs, the work list or the accuracy file. It is the two screens that need no explanation.
- A client who wants the full portal signs in to their own account instead. That is the same portal you open when you click their account name.
- Some clients want a dashboard and will never look at it. The view link costs you nothing to send and nothing to leave alone; the monthly handout does the rest.
Questions
People ask.
- Can the client click anything on the view?
- No. Overview and battle map, read-only. Receipts and notes open, nothing changes.
- Should I give the client the view link or their account?
- Give the view link to a client who wants to glance. Give the account to a client whose team will write, confirm facts or run the draft check.
- What about the client view link I made before?
- It still works and shows on the account row as a legacy link with Retire. Add the client as a contact so they have their own link, then retire the shared one.
